Nissan Altima 3.5 Fuel Requirements

The Nissan Altima is available as both a two-door coupe and four-door sedan. The 2010 model includes three different versions that all feature a 3.5-liter engine. All 3.5-liter engine versions have the same fuel requirements, though they get fewer miles per gallon than the 2.5-liter engine versions.
Fuel
The 3.5-liter engine Altima models have a 20-gallon fuel tank. They all run on unleaded gasoline. The 3.5-liter SR CVT coupe and 3.5 SR get 20 MPG, or miles per gallon, in the city and 27 MPG on the highway. The 3.5-liter SR 6M/T coupe gets 18 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway.
Power
All Altima 3.5 versions have a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 270 horsepower. The 3.5 SR 6M/T coupe has a six-speed manual overdrive transmission. The other two 3.5-liter versions have a continuously variable transmission. Torque is measured at 258 pound-feet at 4,400 RPM, or revolutions per minute. The compression ratio is 10.3 to 1. The bore and stroke are 3.76 and 3.20, respectively. Displacement is 3,490 cc.
Measurements
All 3.5-liter Altima versions are 70.7 inches wide. The 3.5-liter coupe versions are 180.9 inches long and 55.9 inches tall. The 3.5 SR sedan is 190.7 inches long and 57.9 inches tall. The coupes have a wheelbase of 105.3 inches, and the sedan has a wheelbase of 109.3 inches. All versions have a front track of 61 inches. The sedan has a rear track of 61 inches as well, while the coupes have a rear track of 61.2 inches.
Extras
To help conserve fuel while driving on the highway, the Altima features cruise control. Air conditioning is also included, though it reduces fuel efficiency when active. An AM/FM radio and CD player come standard, and a tire inflation monitor is also included.
